We launched our new website a few days ago. There were a few important factors for us, which we defined during the pre-build stage:
- The website should reflect our brand values.
- Our professionalism and why we are so good at what we do should be self evident from our new site.
- Search engines should love the new site (lots of traffic).
- The search traffic should result in new business (well targeted).
The factors we listed above are very similar to what a lot of our customers list on new projects. We decided to put our expertise to the test. Could we improve our own search ranking quickly?
We built our new website with search engine optomisation techniques in mind and we launched a few days ago. Today Google webmaster tools has shown a spike in traffic including some of our top desired keywords : Web design, Portsmouth, Hampshire and some really strange stuff like the lyrics to “The Impossible Dream”!
It just shows that a little hard work and expertise can generate an increased level of search engine awareness quickly. It also shows that you can get hits on your website for something totally unrelated to your business!
